Pup's first time to the groomers and anxiety

Hello!

Our pup Mishka is soon to be 10 months (intact) and whilst we've been able to keep up with her coat and have her get used to being brushed (on occasion) we we were told by her breeder that her previous owner had possibly never brushed her, and she was returned to them very matted at 5 months old. She also came to us extremely anxious and whilst she had made some progress in the months we've had her, is still wary around strange men who aren't my partner and I. She gets along brilliantly with other dogs however.

We found out this information about a month ago, and so me being the worried dog dad I am, have booked her in to a groomer who has worked with anxious and reactive dogs before. We spoke a bit over the phone and thankfully the groomer is aware of how a samoyed's coat should be treated and will only be going in for de-shed and a nail trim, which leaves the questions of

Did anyone else feel especially anxious when their pup went to the groomer for the first time?

How was the ordeal?

How long should I expect the groomer to take with my pup? Does this change?

Should I bring anything to help the groomer like comfort items or treats?

I know it's silly to be so worried but my pup is my world and I'd always want whats best for her 💜
