New Godox V480 or Trusted V860III? User Opinions Wanted.
Godox just launched the V480, a compact TTL Li-ion flash that seems to bring pro-level features to a smaller footprint. Quick summary of what it offers:
- 📸 GN50 output, same ballpark as the V860III
- ⚡ Full TTL / Manual / Multi / HSS support (up to 1/8000s)
- 🔋 650 full-power pops per charge
- 📱 2.0" touchscreen + tactile buttons
- 📡 Built-in 2.4GHz wireless (Tx & Rx)
- 🔌 USB-C charging
- 💡 10-level LED modeling light
- ⚖️ Ultra portable at ~370g (V860III is ~530g)
From what I can tell, it's somewhere between the V350 and V860III, but with more modern design cues—feels a bit like a “lite” version of the V100.
Curious to hear what people think:
If you're deciding between the V480 and V860III, what would you go for, and why?
Is the added screen + smaller size worth the tradeoff in recycle speed or flash capacity?
