Do I need to bring a laptop to class for the Master of Game Design course?

Hello everyone, I am going to study for a master's degree in game design at RMIT. Do I need to bring a computer to class? My current gaming laptop is very heavy. If I need to bring a laptop to class, I may have to change it because it is too inconvenient. I hope guys can give me some advice. Thank you.
