A game like Brawlhalla's movements but a PVE story?

I've always wondered about how amazing Brawlhalla's technicality with it's combo and fighting is and hv been wondering if there's a game like it, but PVE. Think of an implementation of weapons in brawlhalla but projected to combos and skill sets applied a level system or a story one. It does sound like something that can work, what are your thoughts on this?
