Selfies are saved flipped

So, of course, in my camera settings, the option "save selfies as previewed" is ON.

However, everytime i take a selfie on wapp, then send it, everything's fine- except the picture FLIPS in my gallery once its saved, and so i ALWAYS have to go and edit the photo, flip it myself, save. Im sick of this. Istg whatsapp is just broken atp. Again, the setting of my camera app "save selfies as previewed" is E N A B L E D, and honestly i just wanna scream ♡ everything on google tells me to do the same thing, like im fking stupid and i just UGH. What should i do? I want whatsapp to save the selfies in my gallery AS PREVIEWED, as well, NOT mirror them.
