AITAH for dropping this friend

I (F) had a best friend of 6 years (M) that I recently cut all communications from. To keep it relatively short and sweet, I brought a guy around, obviously introduced him to my best friend and they got along super well, said guy SAd me and I quickly got away from that and I cried to my best friend about it and was extremely vulnerable. A few weeks later I find out he was defending the guy who SAd me. Confronted him and he even defended him to my face. My family says and is extremely persistent on I should accept the apology and move on because “things happen” — I on the other hand never want to see his face again. So AITAH for cutting connections??
