How can I strengthen my USA visa application after a previous rejection?
Hi everyone, I’m seeking advice about reapplying for a USA tourist visa (B2). My previous visa application was rejected on January 14th, 2025 at London Embassy, likely because I mentioned I was planning to visit my girlfriend who lives in the USA. I think the officer assumed I might have immigrant intent.
Here’s a bit about my situation:
I currently live in the UK on a Post-Study Work (PSW) visa.
I work as a retail operative and have stable employment.
After the refusal, I have travelled to Ireland in March 2025 and Japan in May 2025, just for tourism.
I’m planning to reapply in August 2025, with a clear purpose of visiting Hawaii for a vacation. I will provide a return ticket, accommodation bookings, and a short, well-planned itinerary.
I still hold my PSW visa and plan to return to the UK after my trip.
Questions:
What can I do to strengthen my application this time and avoid another refusal?
Should I avoid mentioning my girlfriend at all?
Would my recent travel history help prove that I am a genuine visitor with intent to return?
Any suggestions or advice will be helpful.
