Autofocus in a crowd

I have a 750d. Mulling an R8. Got an event coming up - summer festival. Lots of people moving in a parade then events in a field.

I know it does subject tracking but how does it perform with lots of possible subjects? Like a multiple lines of people dancing in a road while coming at you?
