Amazon Jewlery

So I have a total of three piercings in my face . One eyebrow piercing, titanium which i bought from a piercing shop and havent had problems with. Two nose piercings 18 g surgical steel ? ( both sides of my nostrils). The ones in my nose will not stop smelling. They aren't infected but ..... i just cant get rid of it. I've had them for a while and I still cleam them with saline from time to time when I need to but they are pretty much fully healed after several years. I dont recall having this issue untill i switched my jewelry. If you've had smelly piercings, you know what i mean . I looked things up and it said it may be the metal . I got surgical steel hoops piercings off Amazon. I was looking up titanium ones on Amazon. They range from $9 to $20. In a shop , they are usually more than that. It makes me question if im actually getting surgical steel or titanium? Is this worth to put into question when Im looking for piercings? Is it something where they can just get away with calling it titanium? I guess my question is , should I trust buying piercing jewelry on Amazon?
