Am I the only one thinking there a decline of empathy to people

I’ve seen many posts of people making fun of people whose family,pets,friends died and saying ‘womp womp’ or ‘go cry about it’ and even ‘🤣🤣’.If you don’t like some one don’t interact with them ,or even better if you do interact to said person even if you don’t like them you could at least in the bare minimum say sorry for your lose.Is there a reason like are people getting raised to not give empathy or they really don’t care about people’s feelings.
