Prolapse or cysts??

For reference, I am 46F, had 4 pregnancies and vaginal births, and had a hysterectomy in 2013 (left both ovaries).

About 3 weeks ago, I felt a very sharp pinch while peeing. Then, when I stood up, I felt as if I had something stuck in my vagina. It caught me off guard. I sort of repositioned myself and the feeling eased up. However, from that point on, I have experienced worsening symptoms of vaginal fullness and pressure, a strange pressure/pain sensation around my urethra, inconsistent peeing (similar to a UTI), pretty intense lower back pain, lower abdominal aching, and occasional pains that shoot down my inner thighs. The discomfort is definitely worse when I’m on my feet a lot but never truly goes away- even when lying down. The main area of concern is the discomfort I feel in my vaginal area/groin. I’ve had cysts before and never felt anything like this. After reading through many threads on here, I diagnosed myself with a cystocele and got brave enough to look into a mirror while standing. I can definitely see something that looks like a ball inside my vagina. Nothing can be felt externally. I’ve seen my gyno twice and had an ultrasound that showed several small cysts on my right ovary. After 2 physical examinations, my dr said she is completely confident I don’t have a prolapse. She didn’t feel or see any indications and felt as if I had good support under my bladder. Her diagnosis is that the cysts are causing all the issues I’m experiencing and recommends taking both ovaries out. She feels as though the right ovary has adhered to my vaginal cuff (since I don’t have a uterus) and is causing abnormal pressure in my pelvic area and bladder. I think I’d be less skeptical if I hadn’t looked in the mirror. My gyno dismissed what I saw by saying “sometimes things move around in there.”

That all being said, I do have a consultation scheduled with a urogynecologist at the end of the month. I just don’t know what to do! The discomfort I am experiencing is definitely affecting my quality of life. But, it scares me to agree to a surgery that will throw me into early menopause… what if my doctor is missing something? Is my doctor’s diagnosis feasible? Or, should I hold off for a second opinion?
