What are my options to stay in Germany after finishing Ausbildung?

Hey!

I’m 20 years old and about to finish my Ausbildung as a FIAN (Software Engineer) this summer. In my residence permit, it says that it is valid until 31.08.2025 or “erlischt sich nach Ausbildungsende”.

Does this mean that my residence permit expires immediately after my final exam, even if the card says 31.08.2025? (After the final exam I don’t need to go to work anymore.)

I also don’t qualify for the Jobseeker visa, since it requires more than €20,000 blocked in a bank account, which I unfortunately don’t have. I also haven’t found a new job yet that would let me apply for a Job Visa.

My biggest problem is: I have no visa-free time in Germany, so if my residence permit expires right after my final exam, I might be forced to leave Germany – which I really cannot do.

To get a Job Visa, I need a qualified IT job. Otherwise I would happily work as a waiter or in some other job just to be allowed to stay here. My German level is B2, and my English is also B2. Unfortunately, many companies require a Bachelor’s degree, which I don’t have.

P.S. I read FAQ on this thread, but as I said, I have no possibility to apply for Jobseeking Visa
