Custom shirt clown wasted my time and didn’t even pretend to care

On May 2, I called a local print shop to order three custom t-shirts. I told the guy, very clearly, that I needed them by June 7 for a minor league baseball game I was taking my sons to. That’s over a month of lead time for a three-shirt order. Simple stuff.

Fast forward to this Saturday - the actual day of the game - I stop by to pick them up.

Nothing.
Not one shirt had been made.

He just shrugs and says, “Yeah, my machine’s been broken for a couple weeks.” Like that somehow excuses it. No phone call. No email. No warning. I had to find out in person, the day I needed them, that my order was never touched.

Then he tells me, “I can have them ready next week.”

Are you joking? Are you fucking dense?

That completely misses the point. I didn’t want them “whenever.” I wanted them for the damn game—which I told you a month ago. That was the whole reason for the order. It's not like I showed up the day of the game and demanded a rush order. Complete choke job.

And the best part? Zero apology. No ownership. No remorse. Just smug indifference, like I’m the one being unreasonable for expecting basic professionalism.

Luckily, I hadn’t paid upfront. But I still got completely screwed. I ended up scrambling the morning of the game trying to figure out a backup plan for shirts, which wasn’t easy, because good luck finding minor league gear on Fanatics or in stores last-minute.

This guy didn’t just forget my order—he ignored it, didn’t communicate, then acted like it wasn’t his problem.

If your business can’t handle a tiny order with a clearly stated deadline, and you can’t be bothered to give even a God damn courtesy call when you fall short, you have no business serving customers.

Absolutely useless. I'm beyond furious.
