Venting
Hi everyone!
So I been out of work due to layoff for 9months now. I received an invite to meet with this recruiter on may 1st for a health company. All is well! The interview comes and it’s not the lady I am supposed to meet with. Not a problem however this recruiter literally just said the lady has a family emergency so here I am. Looks like you hold your experience over the degree which I need to see if we can take( even though the job description said they would) and the pay is this much. The meeting lasted 5 minutes (literally). He hung up on me so I wasn’t able to ask questions. At this point I was disappointed because I knew I wasn’t getting the job. 3 weeks later, I had the recruiter I was suppose to meet with reach out to schedule a meeting to chat. I thought this was a blessing and I was still in the race. I told her what happened and we had a whole new interview. Next day, I had the hiring manager wanting to meet me. The manager showed up 15 minutes late and quickly rushed the process. Told me I should hear something by Friday and again ended the video before I can ask questions. Friday comes and nothing. So I messaged the recruiter just thanking her for the redo and time I spent with the company. Wednesday comes and I reach back out asking for an update and nothing. Monday comes and I hear they are having a meeting about the position and I will hear something. It’s now June and I still haven’t heard anything. I checked my application online to see they aren’t moving forward with me. Now I understand they are busy and whatever but to invest time into me 3 times just to not send the generic email that they didn’t pick me is wrong. I spend hours preparing my resume, preparing and invested time into meeting yall just to be ghosted. This company literally interviewed 3 people for this role unless that was a lie the recruiter told me. they don’t have 5 seconds just to send me an email that they didn’t pick me? Just annoyed and back to square 1 🥴🫠
Hope yall are having a better time
