Work PC help

Hi,

I have a work PC, 400 MB Xfinity internet. My router keeps dropping. The Xfinity tech came out and replaced almost everything besides the service line form the pole and I still have internet drops only when my work laptop is connected to the internet. I get about 10 minutes of work done then the internet drops, wired or Wi-Fi doesn’t matter. I went to Starbucks and tried their Wi-Fi and no issues all day. Same thing at McDonald’s, and Barnes and noble book store. So my thought is it is my router? (arris SBG10) still has a warranty for another year on it, practically brand new maybe 1 year 9 months old now.

Xfinity says it’s fine and I need a new router, I called out work IT department and they want me to go fully into the office from now on and says that’s the only way to fix this issue.

Please give me some guidance, I can’t be going into the office when my full job title is remote.

Side note, I can use hotspots at home and I never drop internet once. I suspect it’s my modem but can’t be 100%
