SSCBS bfia vs Cluster innovation centre btech for overall overall future opportunities

One of my friend took a drop for jee but he could not crack it , he did well in cuet though and he is confused between doing btech in IT and Mathematics from CIC and later try for MBA / Gate or get into SSCBS and try to bag a placement , gain work exp and then try for MBA .

I wanna hear more perspectives into it , he has no particular interest either in finance or IT .
