So I wanna run Contemptor with 2 conversion cannons and a missile launcher in dreadnought heavy army (has leviathan, helbrute and deredeo too, as well as 2 warpsmiths).

My question is, which unit with aura or detachment stratagem is best for adding +1 to hit (aside from warpsmiths) or to leadership for dark pacts since lethals and sustains D3 on 4+ seems kinda neat for contemptor, plus vehicle detachment subtracts one from leadership.

In addition, which detachment would be best for dreadnought based army?

Veterans gives hit rerolls which is neat for all the HH nought guns since there are so many, but half of stratagems are inapplicable

Even worse with Deceptors

Renegade Raiders is better though, better mobility and armor penetration. Shame we can’t use drop pods as this would allow to use hit and wound reroll against enemies on points.

Dread Talons ain’t looking good as battle shock is weak.

Siege Host might help against the anti vehicle and lass cann weapons, but I doubt they will be that ample

Pact Bound is better though, you can give marks to each nought and use different stratagems , Tzeentch can heal, Nurgle will allow to avoid fire, Khorn gives fight on death witch I might use if it stacks with Contemptor’s revive on 2+ first time you die. Slaanesh is alright too.

A moment of silence for cult detachment.

Vashtor detachment sounds mixed. 7+ pacts are kinda dangerous . Half of stratagems are inapplicable unless you spend one cp to turn a vehicle into demon. However, healing in melee sounds nice, plus a few warpsmith centered enhancements.

The 2 other detachments are focused on infantry, mages and demons.

Help with combos for dreadnoughts centered army ?
