Crow took back his own feather?
Alrighty so I've been feeding the crows in my neighbourhood for a few months now. Shelled peanuts, now unshelled. They get multiple feedings a day and I've even got one to come down the stairs a bit to grab them. I put water out a couple days ago in the heat and I believe they used that too. A few weeks ago, I had put one coin in the feeding table, and another one appeared in there! I still don't know for sure it was them though.
Anyways, this is to say they are comfortable. I was walking home today on my usual route and below the pole I usually see a crow perched, I found a black feather. I picked it up, and left it on the table with the peanuts & water until I knew how to sanitize it. I come back an hour or two later and the feather is gone along with the food! I asked my family and they didn't touch it and it didn't fall off nearby.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Do birds pick up feathers? Do crows?
TLDR: Picked up black feather near house, left it outside by peanuts for couple hrs, came back to it gone. I believe the crow(s) I've been feeding took it back?
