My Father is a ship Captain but let us starve.

My father is a ship captain who earns over ₱600,000 monthly, but he only gives our family ₱100,000 — just 1/8 of his salary. We're three siblings, all in college, and that amount barely covers our basic needs.

When I graduated, he didn’t help at all with the costs for my job applications like medical exam. He left me and my mom to figure everything out on our own.

We tried reporting him to the POEA after my mom filed a case under RA 9262 (Violence Against Women and Children), but we were advised to hold off — apparently because he’s still paying the house loan and car loan under his name. But those are things he could easily pay in full if he really wanted to. He just doesn't care. He doesn't even show his contract to his own wife. He doesn't want to show how much money he makes.

Now, he hasn’t sent us a single peso for the last two months. We’re barely surviving. Some days we only eat once — dinner, and mostly vegetables we grow ourselves. Meanwhile, he’s out on vacation with his mistress and his father’s side of the family, living his best life like we don’t exist

We’re trying to sell the car, just to survive. Bank collectors keep showing up, and I feel so sorry for my mom. Yes, she made some financial decisions to fix the house, but she didn’t deserve this. No one deserves to be abandoned by someone who clearly has the means to support his own children but chooses not to. He's disrespectful to my mom even in front of his family and acquiantances.

His family supported him in his wicked ways because they benefit from his money. It’s heartbreaking. We feel betrayed, alone, and tired. We don’t even know what to do anymore.
