My intricate crack theory for chapter 5

Theory

My crack Chapter 5 theory is that the superhero comics in the flower king shop will be very important to the chapter. I think that the main antagonist is probably going to be more garden related, possibly a Flowey reference, but that the out of the way thing is going to be the comics, and maybe a weird Tenna cousin creature, considering the TV. But back to the main subject, I think that the villain in the comics is going to resemble Sans, and the Hero some sort of odd blend of Kris or Asriel, representing his hopes of using Asriel’s return as a way to reconnect with Toriel.

The Hero, I think, will serve as a sort of mentor figure for Ralsei the same way Gerson did for Susie. The Hero being someone who, through countless adventures throughout the always resetting status quo of comics, (which could serve as a connection between Kris) has learned a lot of lessons about finding hope and is used to teaching cheesy life lessons at the end of issues, even if they've fallen into a boredom, having run out of ideas for interesting issues, in kind of a Flowey parallel. But, when he meets Ralsei, he recognizes a lot of himself in him; the medium of comics requires suffering, like how Peter Parker is constantly set back, and the dread that must instill when you’re aware of the medium you’re in, but just like how a major motif for spider man is getting back up after the punches and accepting help and love from others, this Hero helps him to accept more help from Kris, Susie, and others in general, and also to always find a way to help, even when everything seems destined to fail. However, eventually, they’ll split up; here’s where the secret boss comes in.

I think the secret boss will be the antagonist of the comic, who bears a striking similarity to Sans, representing how Sans is a possible roadblock to Asgore getting back together with Toriel, but being a sort of distorted, darker version of him, complete with being a much lankier, damaged (possibly referencing his injuries in the genocide route), or generally darker, god complex-having version of him. This villain will explain that he’s so tired of the repetition of comics, being destined to lose every time, and that he needs something new to give him reason to go on. This being the flowers on display in the basement. Once he’s led there, he’ll lure in Ralsei specifically to meet him near the base, explaining that he finally has something to destroy that can’t be saved; the flowers, symbolic of the marriage. From there he’ll commence a fight, generally talking about nothing but violence, joking around about violence, not taking the fight seriously, throwing out joke attacks or using inefficient attacks, and being the worst possible version of sans (not so much a fell sans, but more of a crude caricature, possibly a parody of fan games where he’s pure evil) before he’s finally defeated. But, as he falls, he starts saying that he’s gotten so tired of losing, he made a deal to be stronger, and with that, a creature bursts from his form.

This thing, still wearing the face of sans but with an insectoid form, possibly an Aphid or other garden destroying pest, is the embodiment of all these insecurities about the marriage, wearing the face of sans as a representation of how he’s a sort of scapegoat, but only the most recent of their host of issues in the marriage, with this almost godlike insect wanting to destroy the flowers, AKA the marriage. This being starts up a much more difficult fight, going all out and having much more HP than Ralsei can deplete, or not listening to any sort of reason, and using attacks Ralsei can’t dodge without some sort of power up. But as this thing seems to decide it’s won, the Hero appears, encouraging Ralsei and giving them the bravery soul, allowing the player to dodge and destroy the insectoid’s attacks, and eventually either exorcise them or destroy them, with Kris and Susie maybe showing up once everything seems to be too much, but destroying the flowers in the process symbolizing that the marriage can’t go back to normal.

After the smoke clears, the distorted sans is left lying there, deciding that it would be best to join the Fun Gang as an item rather than continue his life of repetition, as at least their repetition is something else (maybe his item is a unique case in that it stays even if you reset the file, or he just enters your inventory along with giving you a weapon). As they leave, the Hero remarks that even though the flowers are destroyed, their seeds have already spread amongst the soil, meaning that new life can grow from them, even if one can never return to the past.
