Combat CG - what am I missing?

So I am pledged to a side, I go to the system........and can't find anything that seems to fit this idea of space combat for bonds. I went to the high risk res, checked through the map for anything that might fit. Do I have to be in open to participate, or am I just totally overlooking something?
