washing quilt?

I'm going to wash my first hand quilted quilt (gotta get the crayola off that i used!). it's a double bed size quilt & i dont have a big enough front loader to wash it.

There's top load machines in my building, but im concerned about them becoming overloaded & possibly destroying my quilt. I'm thinking of going to a laundromat with large machines & maybe running on delicate...but wanted to ask yall because you're all so knowledgeable!
