Tic Weave Wool 1818 vs Plain Weave Wool 1818?

Is there a major difference between the tic weave wool 1818 suits compared to the plain weave wool 1818 suits besides the texture? I do know that the tic weave will have more of a slubby texture with a a subtle “pin/dot” appearance. Is one of them more durable or better than the other? I’m thinking of picking up a navy and a grey but wasn’t sure where to start.
