I’ve been wearing the wrong bra size my whole life??

Since I was 16, I’ve been wearing variously 38DD-40DDs with an occasional DDD cup if I could find it. I finally went to a store with a professional fitter because I knew I was wearing the wrong size, but I thought I’d maybe be an F or something. Evidently I should be wearing a 40J or 40K.

It’s insane how many women are in sizes way too small because of the stereotype that a DD is huge (and the lack of companies that produce large cup sizes). It feels like no one (including me) gets cup sizes! I do have a large bust, but it’s not super out of proportion with the rest of me or anything. Certainly not what comes to mind when you hear “K cup.” Also, there were so many things I didn’t know about a bra fitting correctly that I’m kind of embarrassed about! I didn’t even know that the part that separates the cups is meant to lie flat against your chest because I have literally never had a bra that did that!

That is all. I have to go find plus size bra shops with big cup sizes now lol
