Super sweet purple flower from the Swiss Alps
I used to grab a bunch of these short and small purple flowers from the grass and shove them in my mouth when I lived in Switzerland, but I cannot for the life of me find an image of it anywhere. And from what I've seen it is not a chives blossom.
It looks like a yellow dandelion, in which there are a lot of petals you can pluck from the center, but much smaller and purple/pink. The stems basically touched the ground and when the flowers were ripe it tasted extremely sweet. When they weren't, it just tasted like grass. Maybe a little bitter.
There was also a slight gradient to the petals, going from purple/pink to a pale purple/pink or white. You could barely tell though because the petals were so thin and small.
I hope this isn't too odd of a request, but I really need closure for this flower I loved to eat. I just need to know if I unlocked a childhood memory or gaslit myself.
PS. By "small" I mean the flower was a little over the size of a person's thumb.
