I FINALLY upgraded my WIFI. Before: 100mbs, AFTER: 2,100 mbs

Question

Good morning Redditors, just wanted to come out here and express my excitement for upgrading my piece of shit, T-mobile wireless modem 100 mbs wifi box.

To start back in the day, due to ky constantly moving needs the t-mobile modem wasn't too bad but in the span of 2 years, everything i tried to game id only play for only 5-10 minutes because the wifi would simply jitter and spike to 1005 ping.

2 days ago I said enough, saw all my cousins play again and I was lagging like a piece of sht mongrel..

I decided im gonna go to xfinity since a friend told me he got 1gig bit down for 60 bucks. Compared to At&t that'd be 160dlls.

I knew if I get ( if it even exists I was thinking to myself) the 2000mbits i can potentially get it for 100 schmucks.

To my surprise they first were asking 160. I said no no no, my friend got good deal after 20 min. I got 2,100 mbs download and upload for 85 smackeronies a month.

Came home to install modem ANNNNND: DUCK SHT... Modem not working due to the coaxial cables not giving signal in my house....

After getting support from a Indian dude in the app he scheduled, a technician the next day... next day arrives.. nobody comes ANGEY!!

I talk to another lady after no technician, she said indian dude never put a date for the technician, so she scheduled another technician, for tomorrow.

Tomorrow is now today, and im waiting for him to arrive around 3-5 pm. Prime gaming hours.

Now my question to all you redditors:

was the difference that big when you went from 50mb - 300mb to fiber 1gb or 2gb? , I've never in my life have had such high speed internet as I could never afford it.

Now quite some years later I've scraped some change and here we go. Ill update you guys once its installed but would like to hear your opinions.

Hell, I thought my 100mbs download was fast. But I guess here we go
