Transmission valve body, is Ford having a ton of issues too?

Own both Ford and GM products and my GM went in for a valve body replacement and the service guy said there were 6 in front of me! Did get the part right away thankfully.

I’m curious because it was a joint venture between ford and GM if Ford is also having lots of problems
