Recommendations with speaker stands

Looking to at some new speaker stands and found a place who does very nice custom work for a reasonable cost. These speakers are solid oak from top to bottom. I have the option to spend approximately 30% more for the very same stands with the center post hollowed out to allow fillable material. There is a lot of info out there regarding the benefits of filling stands. Yet, if the the stands are solid oak throughout, would this be enough dampening? Looking for opinions from those of you familiar with this topic and , in particular, those with solid wood speaker stands. Thanks in advance-
