Ever Seen a Chrome Rain Lamp?

This was my first eBay purchase back in the year 2000. I've never seen nor even heard of another chrome rain lamp, has anyone here? I'm not sure if she is a prototype (but she's finished and not raw looking at all), or perhaps a limited production model. Any insights would be appreciated. She's my pride and joy and got me into collecting lamps.
