Why is people making a big deal about pkmn crystal legacy?

Like honestly most of the changes seem good or whatever but like crystal clear did it years before and way better, and you can star from any city of the game, is open world, you can choose between a lot of fucking starters, you have a house in any of the starter cities you choose de pokedex is improved, etc.

Like i have seen a lot of crystal legacy videos pop up on my recommended and the own creator glazing his own rom to the stratosphere when I have played crystal clear and liquid crystal and had a better experience doing any of those two than legacy...

Also i noticed this same content creator that did crystal legacy also did other pkmn legacy hackroms, it feels like he is just making the hackroms to farm up content and interaction and it feels a lil off and kinda like plastic, like one of those ai souless machine things? like I don't feel like the creator actually put care into it or added something significative or provides a more fresh or different experience than other rom hacks of crystal or gen 2

Like just please tell me im just seeing things were they arent I dont like thinking this way about people...
