FSU housing lottery numbers

I am an incoming freshman for this fall and my housing number is 2700's. I found a roommate a couple months ago online that's number is 5600's, she didn't get the email saying that they ran out of housing so she still has a contract luckily. We both applied early and committed early. I feel like it's absolutely unfair that we have to use her rooming number, like i'm getting penalized for finding a roommate for myself? I have a friend who was accepted for Summer term and her mom made some calls and now she isn't starting until Fall. I am hoping to do something similar with using my housing number instead of my roommates. Anyone tried this? Is it even worth it or will I maybe not get Sally hall with 5600?
