Traffic Ticket in New York.

Hello! I was just wondering if anyone had a ticket for following too close? My husband hit a car that stopped for absolutely no reason on the highway. He plead guilty to following too close. If anyone has been in the is situation or something similar how much was your ticket? And how soon was it due?
