Constant filament tangle errors in one slot of Ace Pro

This had been driving me nuts. My slot #3 simply would not print. I could feed it, manually extrude, unload, but whenever I needed to print from that slot I would get a filament tangle error.

So, I did all the mods. I printed new brackets for the filament sensors in the front, installed tube extensions for loading, lubricated the gears and the filament buffers in the back, moved it away from the wall, dried the filament, swapped the buffer from slot 3 with a different slot, stretched the buffer spring out a little for a stronger retraction back into the unit, etc. etc.

Here's what I discovered today, in my latest adventure in disassembling the Ace Pro: the hall sensors on the PCB for the buffer mechanism for slot 3 are missing. It looks like they got sheared off the board. My guess is that there was a clog in the buffer and when I cleared it the buffer slider went in wrong and scraped those ICs right off the board. And, given how messy my workshop is, they're gone forever.

Here's a photo of what I'm talking about:

I found a thread on FB where someone had the same problem, but he managed to recover one of the chips and took a great photo of it. It's a CC6201ST hall sensor, made by Cross Chip. I wasn't able to find a supplier for that chip in the US, and I didn't want to wait to receive something from China. So I ordered some DRV5032DUDBZR ICs from Mouser after comparing the specs to the Cross Chip specs. I have no idea if they'll work, but they should arrive on Tuesday.

I also contacted Anycubic support and shared the same picture. My hope is that the new ICs will work or that Anycubic will send me a new circuit board. Fingers crossed.

I'm posting here in case anyone else has a similar problem. I'll follow up when/if I have a resolution.
