I have a 3 year old 65% wolf dog female. As many know they can be difficult to house-train. We keep a pee pad in the bedroom for when she has to go in the middle of the night - she uses it semi regularly. I noticed as long ago as a puppy (and continuing to this day regularly) that her pee has a bit of sparkle to it. It's obviously urinary crystals but to my knowledge hasn't caused any problems.

I've had dogs with a UTI before. I know what to do look for in terms of behavior change, smells, color, etc. This isn't that. And I work vet field adjacent (groomer) and have several vets I do their dogs. They have all told me the same, get a sample and we'll check it/it being a wolfdog I don't know if it's something to worry about but if it was a regular dog I would be concerned.

My question to you guys is: are urinary crystals more prevalent in wolfdogs? Given it's "not a dog" should I be concerned? This is normal for her BUT I do not know what is normal across mid/high contents with urinary health. This question comes up because the image pictured is NOT normal. Pee, sure, but a thick clump of crystalline substance? That's never happened before today. I know many may say take her to the vet as an answer, but the problem is I know every vet in my area and none are knowledgeable with the cross breed. You guys collectively would likely know better than they would.

Medical/urinary question of sorts
