I waited a year to get this Taurus tattoo — now I wish I had placed it just four inches over. Has anyone else regretted placement like this?

General Advice

This is the face of someone who regrets a placement, not the tattoo. If you’ve been there, you know.

I got this tattoo in May 2024 after thinking about it for over a year. I knew I wanted the Taurus symbol — small, clean, minimal. But not long after getting it, I started to feel this growing regret… not about the design, but about the placement.

It’s just a few inches more toward the outside of my arm than I wanted. When I cross my arms, it’s right there in your face. It feels… off. I actually love the symbol — I just wish I’d had it done on the back of my arm instead. That small shift would have changed everything.

I wasn’t in the best headspace when I got it (lots of stress, the artist was about to move away), and I’ve been wondering if anyone else has ever felt this kind of regret — where the tattoo is basically fine, but the placement makes it hard to live with?

Would love to hear how others dealt with this. Removal? Cover-up? Re-doing it in a better spot? I'm including a photo — thanks for being kind.
