While out hunting on private land I heard something strange off in the distance, clearly not an animal, it almost sounded like a person speaking. I waited in my deer blind trying to figure out what was going on as the sound slowly got closer and louder. After a minute or two I could definitely make it out, it was a woman and she seemed to be yelling through a megaphone. The voice was chanting phrases like “meat is murder!”, “run deer run!”, “don’t kill Bambi’s mom!” I can’t help but roll my eyes, ‘great, some stupid animal rights activist is about to ruin my whole weekend trip.’ Just as I’m about to climb down from my blind and tell the woman to get the fuck off the private land I realize I’m the only one around using this land for miles. If that stupid woman is going to scare off the deer, it’s only right she takes their place right?

As I continue to watch a beautiful woman in her mid-early twenties wearing a bright red coat walks into a clearing only about 50 yards from my position. She continues to shout through her megaphone as I take careful aim. Normally I’d aim for a kill shot but after seeing her my plans changed from murder, to rape and murder.

I line up the cross hairs for a clean gut shot, definitely enough to incapacitate the woman but her death would take days. I calmly pull the trigger and watch as the woman’s figure drops to the ground with a surprised grunt, the megaphone going flying from her hand. I smirk, perfect shot. I chamber another round and look back down my scope this time firing a shot straight through the megaphone the woman had been reaching towards.

I climb down from my stand and slowly make my way to the downed woman. I enter the clearing to see the woman lying in a pile of red stained snow, her left hand is holding her bleeding stomach as her right hand shakily tries to open her phone. I walk up and take it from her, I scoff in amusement as I look at the screen before tossing it back into her lap “no service anyway. It really is just you and me.”
