Why? Just why?

So when I’m in an aisle either working on truck, or working the planogram, or literally anything else and the aisle on either side of me is empty do these NPC customers come down the aisle I’m working in and buy nothing just to go into the empty aisle???? Like did they try to get in my way on purpose? Was that a conscious choice to do that? What’s the thought process with these people?????
