Absolutely fed up with the amount of misinformation online regarding brake jobs

Meta

Seriously. This is the first time I've done my own brake job and I've already had to pull the wheels off and re-do the job 3 times because of the amount of misinformation online.

First I bought Silicone for the slide pins. Then it turns out I bought the wrong Silicone (orange ceramic) even though the tube literally said it was for good for slide pins.

Then I purchased Anti-Seize Copper because ChrisFix did a video on changing your brake pads and recommended putting them on the ears of the pad, after a quick Google search, turns out that is not recommended either? I thought ChrisFix was highly recommended???

Now I just did a brake fluid bleed following ChrisFix's video again and I see comments online saying you're not supposed to press the brake pedal all the way down to the floor or you could ruin your brakes? Which I already did because it was never mentioned in the video...

Why do these things never get mentioned in these tutorial videos? Seriously this industry is ABSOLUTELY caked in incorrect information, even from reputable YouTubers.
