Installed shed for home studio/drum room
Hello all!
I am currently looking at the costs/work required to get build a shed in my backyard for a small home studio/rehearsal space. I am a drummer and am looking at doing my best to not annoy my family and neighbours. Right now my drum kit is in the garage and it's awfully loud and even more difficult to even try and record (I don't bother at this point).
I am looking at 10x12 cedar shed. There's a local company, with great reviews, that builds these sheds on site and offers multiple options for windows, doors, shelves etc. I plan on having a window AC as well to keep myself cool whilst drumming which will obviously affect noise levels. I also could get rid of one of the windows and install a sunlight instead.
Has anyone done this and could offer some advice? What did you do to try and sound proof it? Did you put up walls? What kind of flooring or insluation are you using? Any advice would be great as I am pretty new to the home-improvement stuff. Thanks!
