Gay Muslim?
Assalamu A’laikum wa rahmatullahi wabarakatuh
People often ask “how can you be gay and be muslim?” But what we really need to ask ourselves is “how can you be judgmental and be muslim”.
Honestly why do we muslims pick on gay people so much? So what if they have gay feelings? It’s not like they can control it, it’s obviously a test from Allah and us judging them and hating on them is only making it worse for them to find peace in islam.
Having such feelings isn’t sinful, it’s only sinful if you act upon it. How is it any different from regular zina? Don’t we all have feelings for the opposite gender? Is that haram? No. It only becomes haram when we no longer lower our gaze and commit acts of zina.
I just thought of having this discussion because this is becoming such a problem among youth these days. Leave people alone. Just because you’re not gay and going through certain different tests than others doesn’t mean you’re better. It’s between them and Allah. Let’s all be more kind to each other.
