MacBook Air M4 Purchase

Hi. I’m looking to buy a MacBook Air m4 base for my younger brother who is due to join university abroad next year. As of now the best deal I’m getting for the base one with 16gb and 256gb is around Rupees 79900 with some 2-3k food and coupons benefits in the mall the store it’s based in. Want to know whether I should go ahead and buy it for him or wait for the back to school offer. In the offer will I be able to get 10k off as student discount along with the 10k card discount and the free AirPods or just the 10k card discount along with the free AirPods ? Also based on his use would this suffice or any other Mac version or no MacBook we should be going for ? Also if we do partial payment via axis card and the rest via gift vouchers will we get points on our card or not ? Kindly suggest and help us out for our purchase.
