I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I genuinely wish Adrien hadn’t completely quit modeling. I know it was something Gabriel forced him into, and of course adrien deserves the freedom to choose his own path. But I feel like the modeling side of his life was never the problem. The issue was the control, the lack of choice. Modeling itself was actually something that really fit him. literally and metaphorically.

He had this perfectly polished, charming image on the outside, but underneath that was a boy who was isolated, emotionally neglected, and quietly screaming for freedom. That contrast made his character so much more layered. He was admired by the world and completely overlooked at home. Modeling became a symbol of that duality and I think it mattered.

And then there’s Marinette. She’s an aspiring fashion designer. She dreams of having people wear her creations, she pours so much of her heart into her sketches and designs, and Adrien was her muse. He modeled for her, wore her outfits, literally inspired her to keep going. The designer/model trope between them was so strong and had so much untapped potential. It’s not just about aesthetics, it was one of the most natural ways their worlds intertwined. And now… it’s just gone. 😭

Now he’s apparently into running?? Which came out of nowhere. I’m all for him trying new things, but it’s weird how the show just dropped everything else. Fencing? He actually seemed to enjoy that. Piano? Okay, maybe that was more of a rich kid obligation but it was still a part of him and we don’t even see him touch that side of himself anymore. It’s like every piece of who he used to be has been swept away, this is probably a very unpopular opinion but idk

I wish Adrien didn’t quit modeling so soon (and everything else he just… dropped??)
