How much is too much

I am trying to get an idea of how much every one else applies. I understand thus is personal and subjective, and might vary depending on the fragrance. I use Imaginary and Afternoon dive regularly. Love them! I usually apply one spray to a wrist and one to my neck. I have received compliments 8 hours later on each. Today I did this and got my hair cut. The barber complimented but said he smelled it as soon as I walked in. He asked what it was and said it smelled good. I don't want to be too loud or inconsiderate by applying too much. What is everyone else's stance on amount?
