Brooks ‘conquest’ flyer saddle uncomfortable. Did I get the wrong one?

I bought a second hand 90’s Conquest Brooks sprung Flyer saddle in good condition.

I have applied a lot of profide underneath and on top. It looks so good visually but sitting on it for long ride it feels quite uncomfortable. I usually ride 30min - 1hr rides on gravel and road. The saddle seems most uncomfortable in the middle section.

Does it need further breaking in, more treatment or have I just got the wrong saddle?
