Hisense portable AC unit spewing water every 20 mins.

Greetings,

I have had a portable Hisense 7000-BTU DOE (115-Volt) unit for a while now. Every so often it needs to be drained but has thus far been sporadic. i use it throughout spring and summer and have done so consistently for years. Yesterday however, it started slinging the E5 drainage alert and i thought nothing of it. However it not needs to be drained like its drainage system has never seen the light of day every 15-30 mins. I do not think it is the humidity, as its been going for days at a time when it was WAY more humid than it is currently.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this is occurring? Does anyone have any tips to rectify the situation?
