HOSAS OR HOTAS?

I'm new to Space Sims having previously only played lighter games like Everspace 2, and I always felt like I was too late to get into games like Eve Online, so when I saw that EVE Frontier was coming out, I thought it might be the perfect time to jump in now. I am notoriously bad at keyboard & mouse - I play games with a controller, which I realize is not realistic on these space sims, so I thought maybe I should get some flight sticks. I've been watching many YouTube videos comparing different flight sticks like the VKB Gladiator NXT Evo and the Virpil sticks, and even something like the Thrustmaster Sol-R2 HOSAS.

So my question is for those EVE veterans......what would you say is the "ideal" flight stick configuration if I want to play EVE Frontier? Should I be looking at HOSAS or HOTAS, or something else entirely? Please give me your recommendation for the best configuration first, and then specific brand/manufacturer next. Thanks for any help you can give me. Budget is not a consideration - I will spend whatever I need to spend.
