DMX AFC questions

My DMX is coming up in just over a week. I have some questions that hopefully someone can help with.

1. Initially the surgeon thought he’d use a double S closure, now leaning toward a Wise (inverted T). If I have a strong feeling about S, he will do that, but is worried about dog ears. For reference I’m a D+ and 57 years old. I’ve looked at pictures of both and don’t have a strong opinion. What I’ve told him is I’d like it to good as nice as possible and have the incision as flat as possible, but he’s the expert so I’ll trust him. Anything anyone can share about closures?

2. How many days am I likely to need my husband to stay home from work after surgery?

3. Will I be able to strip the drains myself after the first couple days?

4. My follow up is not until 15 days post op. That seems long to me. How long was your follow up after surgery?
