Missed miscarriage expectations

Hi guys, i posted in here pretty recently about my missed miscarriage. I found out when i was 9wks that the fetus measured 6wks. I'm just trying to figure out what to expect, and what's been "normal" for you guys. I really want to have this done naturally, I don't like the idea of surgery and my body seems to be doing OK so far so maybe no meds needed? Tell me what you guys have experienced so I can manage my expectations. I had my appointment on the 10th, 4 days ago. About a week before that I had brown discharge up until the appointment, and then the day after the appointment I also had it. Then the 12th, I started to have very minimal bleeding. Usually dark brown, old blood. Again, minimal but with some decent cramps. Yesterday, the 13th, I woke up in pretty bad pain and took ibuprofen. Fell back asleep and woke up again to extreme pain for about an hour. Like both of my legs had cramps, my back, I was sweating a lot because of pain, had a garbage can at the ready for vomit due to pain, and was not doing well. I then ran to the toilet and passed a clot that was about the size of a large man's fist. It was massive. The pain subsided immediately. Today, I have regular "period" cramps with pretty minimal bleeding. Ocasionally when I go to the bathroom I will have very small clots, and have a long string of blood attached to me. I'd say I'd use maybe 2 maxi pads a day, if we want to use that as a form of measurement. It this normal? What else should I expect? My dr has been less than helpful and I will be switching.
