In the Sun Forgotten Forrest
In the sun forgotten forest,
Among the bright and luscious trees,
There among the underbrush,
Is a man upon his knees.
One moment he was amazed,
The next he was appalled.
He forever lost the forest's gaze-
And knew it was his fault.
As the fiery sky came falling down,
the man moved not an inch.
A limb pinned him to the ground,
And to his right there chirped a finch.
The beauty was not dead,
It had only moved away.
The man jumped to his feet and fled,
For the light of another day.
