halsin recruit

so i’m doing an evil run with a friend and during the raid on the grove, when we got down to fight the druids, my buddy used lump’s horn. we were confused because the they weren’t appearing, then they did, and then everyone in the combat order was hostile because the ogres attacked the goblins. we finished the fight, checked on minthy, she was hostile, decided to knock her out, but the entire grove is dead. is recruiting halsin possible like this? our last save was after our long rest (rip).

is this a reload moment?

we’re leaving it be until we start playing tomorrow (opposite timezones = little time we can play) so it’d be great if we can get a definite yes/no regarding halsin. though from what i understand, not recruiting minthy here ruins some of the evil run stuff?
